My Blu Ray player is acting up?
I have an elite pioneer blu ray player and it did this before too, but thought nothing of it.. My screen shakes once every second or two. Like a connecting was bad, but i checked and connection is fine. I have the pioneer elite tv connected to the elite receiver which is hooked up to the elite blu ray player. The TV works fine, the receiver seems to work fine too. So is it the player or the wire? I’m going to call tomorrow or the day after to ask the “experts” but maybe you have a quick fix for this? The audio is fine and the video is connected through “S-Video” jack. Thank you.
Thank you Ron. Will do first thing in the morning.

how do i connect a plasma tv to a blu-ray and receiver, all new, all pioneer, properly for best quality?
Here are the model numbers: tv – PDP6010FD, receiver – VSX-92TXH, blu-ray player – BDP-HD50-K. I need to know what cables (HDMI or otherwise) go where; ie…HDMI from the Blu-Ray to the TV. That type of thing.

Blu Ray Player. Which one to get?
Looking to get a blu ray player. I have a high end system with a pioneer elite pro kuro 150fd, a Onkyo tx-nr906 receiver and I am looking to get a blu ray. I see that Pioneer is coming out with the 09fd sometime this month maybe. But there is the Sony 5000es and the Dennon 3800. Just wondering what ones that some people have and like and don’t like.
The PS3 is fine for the everyday player. However I asked this question and the answer was that you dont get the 24bit processing outta the ps3 and you dont get the high end audio like dts-hd master audio and the Dolby True HD etc. The Ps3 is ok for an average system or someone who just wants to watch blu rays but I am looking at high end equipment with all the latest and greates audio and video.
What is the best blu-ray player can i get for $250-$750?
I was hoping to get a pioneer to match my pioneer elite tv, but i realized that may not necessarily be the best choice.

panasonic plasma and blu ray but no surround sound?
i have a 50 inch pana plasma, a pioneer blu ray player and a kenwood reciever with 5.1 surround. i have a hdmi cable between blu ray and tv and a digital optical cable runnin from tv to reciever. when i put a blu ray disc on it only seems to work in 2 channel sound and not 5.1. Any suggetions on my prob would be great
the surround sound works fine if i run a digital optical cable between the blu ray and reciever. just that i thought the hdmi cable would carry sound to the tv and then down the optical cable to the reciever
the bloke at the shop where it was purchaed said the optical cable carries whatever sound is on the tv
